To conjugate is to show the different forms of a verb. It is important to practise conjugation of different verbs while learning tenses in English grammar. We have already learnt tenses in detail. Let's today study how a verb is conjugated in different tenses. A verb is conjugated according to the structure rules of different tenses. You can read the structure rules of different tenses here. Let's take the verb 'Swim' as an example. Swim is the base form. Swam is the past form. Swum is the past participle form.
Conjugation of Swim in Different Tenses:
1. Present Indefinite Tense:
I/We swim
You swim
He/she/it/David swims
The boys/They swim
2. Present Continuous Tense:
I am swimming
We are swimming
You are swimming
He/she/David is swimming
They are swimming
3. Present Perfect Tense:
I/we have swum

4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense:
