For beginners who are learning English as a second language, it is often difficult to identify nouns.
And when it comes to identifying abstract nouns, the task is even more difficult. It may help them to remember that most abstract nouns end in suffixes like -ness, -tion, -ism, -ment, -hood, -ship, -dom, -ance, -cy etc. I have prepared here a list of those abstract nouns which students are often confused about.
